First Aid Provider Training
The First Aid Provider Course is a basic-level first aid training intended for individuals designated by their employer as first aid providers, firearm license applicants, motor vehicle driving license applicants, or for
general development of first aid skills.
Course Content.
The training primarily covers the following topics:
- Assessing an emergency situation, acting in an emergency (including handling panic), and calling for emergency help; evaluating the victim’s condition (including risks related to repositioning the victim); the nature and general principles of first aid, specific considerations for providing aid in outdoor conditions, and preventing further health damage.
- Recognizing life-threatening conditions and performing essential emergency actions (including for myocardial infarction, stroke, and lung injuries).
- First aid for unconscious individuals – ensuring open airways, preventing brain damage due to oxygen deprivation, removing foreign objects from the airways, and performing resuscitation (including the use of an AED device).
- First aid for injuries – superficial and deep body injuries, internal and external bleeding, methods for stopping bleeding, techniques and rules for wound dressing, risks associated with fractures, splinting rules and related hazards, joint injuries (including dislocations and sprains), contusions and crush injuries of various body parts, and eye injuries.
- First aid for drowning, poisoning, chemical burns, burns, frostbite, and electric shock.
- The nature of medical shock and assisting a patient in shock.
- First aid for sudden illnesses (such as epileptic seizures, diabetic coma, anaphylactic shock, fainting, asthma attacks, and abdominal pain).
- Selection and use of first aid equipment in the workplace or at the scene of an incident
Learning Process Description:
- Independent Study: Acquiring theoretical knowledge using training materials provided by the training institution (8 academic hours).
- Upon registration, participants receive a link to the study materials.
- Independent study must be completed before the practical training day.
- Classroom Training: Reviewing and supplementing previously acquired knowledge through discussions, practical demonstrations, solving situational tasks, and a written test for output evaluation (8 academic hours).
- Learning Environment: A classroom suitable for the number of participants, equipped with a video projector and a whiteboard.
- Group Size: Maximum group size is 20 participants
Completion Criteria
To complete the training, participants must independently acquire theoretical knowledge, correctly solve practical situational tasks, and successfully pass a written assessment test. Upon successful participation and achievement of learning outcomes, a certificate confirming the training is issued.
